CAREER COUNSELING AND INTERNSHIP SERVICE

Career counselors advise students on career planning and job opportunities. They organize workshops on resume writing, job interviewing techniques and other relevant issues. Career counselors expose qualified WIUU students to their potential future employers and form links between the University and business community.

WIUU students have an opportunity to meet the representatives of leading Ukrainian, international and joint companies, social, political and administrative organizations, members of American Chamber of Commerce and foreign embassies.

Students of WIUU receive experience through business internship in commercial companies, state enterprises, economic organizations, foreign and joint companies in the fields of business, management, advertising, marketing, accounting, finance and banking in Ukraine and abroad (the USA and Western Europe).

Hosting enterprises consider future employment of the interns.

LIBRARY AND INTERNET CENTER

WIUU has its own library containing a sufficient quantity of Ukrainian, American and other foreign textbooks. It includes: reference books, science books, literature, video and audio courses, CDs, encyclopedias and periodicals. WIUU library offers electronic databases, magazines and dictionaries in different areas.

WIUU Internet Center opens access to virtual Internet data bases: libraries, information centers, foreign publishing houses, archives and science magazines. Internet connects WIUU to colleagues and partners throughout the world.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES

WIUU students are encouraged to take part in research and scientific activities, international scientific activities, international conferences in Ukraine and abroad. American and Ukrainian faculty help them to build up research skills and offer academic counseling in different subject areas. Competitions in Business English and different aspects of Business Policy are held at WIUU on a regular basis.

STUDENTS NEWSPAPER AND WEBSITE

WIUU students publish a weekly newspaper. They also have created an internal website, where they can share information, get class assignments and notes.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT

Student Government is responsible for meeting the needs of the students. Throughout the semester, Student Government provides assistance with planning and organizing a variety of cultural, scientific, sports events and festivals for students at WIUU.

CULTURAL LIFE

Kyiv offers a great variety of drama, music, opera and ballet theaters, art galleries, cinemas and historical monuments which WIUU students can enjoy.
Our students are encouraged to take part in various trips and excursions in Ukraine and other countries.

SPORTS EVENTS

WIUU students take part in yearly sport events and competitions organized by WIUU and NPU.

The sports facilities used by WIUU students include the sports center of NPU with a swimming pool and athletic fields as well as a stadium and smaller sports halls.

HOLIDAYS

WIUU students and faculty members prepare and celebrate together Ukrainian and international traditional, national and religious holidays. Students prepare entertainment programs in English — concerts, games, competitions and discos.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

WIUU most successful students can get scholarships.
The scholarships are granted to the winners of Business English Competition selected by the Board.
The best students are offered scholarships for studying at Schiller International University (USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain) following the recommendation by WIUU Board.
