Mutual
respect and concern for one another and the atmosphere of a caring community are
basic to WIUU and should govern the relationship between student and professor.
Faculty are to be professional in their expectations of academic excellence, and
students need to respond with an appropriate level of effort and commitment. At
American style universities like WIUU, unprofessional conduct and unethical behavior
are serious breaches of academic conduct. Specifically cheating (in whatever form)
will not be tolerated. The professor may give the violator(s) an F for the work
and if repeated ask for the student(s) withdrawal from the course.
Regular
and prompt class attendance is required at American style universities. A student
with unsatisfactory attendance, behavior, and attitude may be forced to withdraw
from a course at the discretion of the professor and administration. Students
are not allowed to be late and unprepared for classes.
A student who fails
the course and desires to have credit for the course must repeat that course when
it is offered again; repeating the course will cause the original grade to be
expunged. A notation should be placed in the student’s file to verify this happening.
The notation should include the signature of the American professor, the Academic
Director and be dated. (Please note: the G.P.A. will be recalculated using the
new grade). |
