Students applying to study at WIUU must have completed secondary (high) school with a satisfactory grade point average. In addition, students must prove English proficiency by submitting a TOEFL score (or an equivalent English test) or by taking a placement test at WIUU to begin study in the degree curriculum.

Students scoring below standard will be expected to enroll in ESL classes at WIUU until such time that they have reached satisfactory English proficiency. The classes are taught with the understanding that students have the required English proficiency. Winners of competitions organized by WIUU, graduates of WIUU High School Programs and WIUU English School have a range of admission privileges.

Students applying to study at the Programs Accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine submit the External Evaluation Certificates.
